Proposals have been made to raise the Social Security retirement age due to the average life expectancy raising, some think that this will raise the number of people who apply and receive Social Security disability benefits, according to the General Accountability Office.

It has been projected by the Social Security Board of Trustees that retirement and disability funds will be completely used by 2037 due to the life expectancy increasing along with the number of senior citizens.

Due to increased life expectancy there have been proposals to raise the earliest retirement age to older than 62 and raise the full retirement age to over 67.

If you or a loved one has been denied the social security disability benefits that he or she is deserved, contact the New Jersey Social Security disability lawyers of Levinson and Axelrod, P.A., by calling 800-346-5529.
